Webinar: Youth Sports’ Recovery Revisited: A Look at the Latest Data
Thursday, October 8, 2020 at 2:00 PM (EDT)
After the success of their initial SFIA webinar on youth sports’ recovery, global data intelligence company Morning Consult and youth sports sponsorship platform LeagueSide once again surveyed hundreds of youth sports program organizers and parents about how they have been impacted by the coronavirus pandemic, as well as how their return-to-play efforts are progressing. Key findings include that about half of youth sports parents said they planned to enroll their children in fall programs and that 40 percent of parents said the benefits of their children participating in sports outweigh the risks associated with the spread of the coronavirus.
Key Points of Insight:
- How youth sports program organizers are attempting to safely return to play after their coronavirus-induced hiatuses
- Which safety measures and protocols do parents and organizers feel are most important in facilitating a return to play?
- The difficult decisions parents are being forced to make about whether to enroll their children in sports programs
