Webinar: Tariff Relief Using the Generalized System of Preferences (GSP)

Tuesday, March 17th at 2:00 PM EST

Members of the Sports & Fitness Industry Association may be eligible to obtain tariff relief under the Generalized System of Preferences (GSP). GSP provides duty-free importation of designated products from beneficiary developing countries into the United States. For example, such sports and fitness-related products as batting, mitts, certain travel and sports bags and racket strings are GSP eligible. This webinar will provide an overview of the GSP program, including how to claim or obtain GSP status for a product or its components. The United States Trade Representative (USTR) is currently accepting petitions to add or remove products from the GSP list. The deadline for filing a GSP petition is March 26, 2020. This webinar will describe the petition process and the information required to have particular products considered for inclusion in the GSP program.

The webinar presentation will be followed by a live Q&A.

GSP petitions are due in less than one month!
