Vietnam Tariff Opposition Letter

With the implementation of Section 301 Tariffs on imports from China, many companies moved their production out of China to Vietnam. President Trump is currently considering applying Section 301 Tariffs on imports from Vietnam in the final days of his term based on alleged violations related to timber harvesting and currency manipulation. SFIA joined more than 150 businesses and 50 organizations on a letter to President Trump objecting to the use of Section 301 tariffs to address any trade issues with Vietnam. President-elect Biden has not decided on his plan for Vietnam. Please find a copy of the letter here. SFIA will continue to monitor the Vietnam tariff situation and provide updates.
