Letter Opposing Section 301 Tariffs on Vietnam Imports

The USTR held hearings last week on the initiation of Section 301 tariffs on Vietnam imports due to alleged illegal timber harvesting and currency manipulation. The President is seriously considering implementing these tariffs in the final week of his term and there is an effort underway to deter this action.

SFIA has signed on to the letter (linked below) on behalf of the industry opposing the implementation of Section 301 tariffs on Vietnamese imports. Businesses are also signing on and the deadline is this week (January 8, 2021).
